We here at girlfriendisahomo hope you are feeling as intensely as we are about Tuesday’s election. Rachel Maddow does too. In this clip, she discusses the insanely long lines early voters have seen in recent weeks. Up to 8 HOURS! She addresses that, while it’s inspirational to see Americans lining up to exercise their right to vote, most working Americans can’t afford to wait in these ridiculous lines.

Our government can launch missiles and invade nations, but can’t seem to figure out a way everyday Americans can vote without taking the day off work, potentially losing their jobs or a day of pay they can’t afford to lose.

Let’s hope Barack will fix this problem when he’s elected!
