She may be out of the long-anticipated “lesbian werewolf” flick, Jack and Diane, but apparently Ellen Page is slated to play a lesbian in a the film adaption of the Laurel Hester story, where she’ll play Laurel’s partner, Stacie, which of course is much sadder than teenaged lesbian werewolves.

But on the bright side, Ellen must not mind the fact that this news reminds everyone about the gay rumors she tried so hard to play down, with her homockery in the SNL skit in which she came back from a Melissa Etheridge concert and said, “Gay? No way! Why does everything have to have a freaking label? Why can’t I just hug a woman with my legs in friendship?”
