Jen’s Rant Of The Week
Of all the things that made me angry this week (Republicans refusing to work with Obama on his stimulus package despite his continued efforts toward bipartisanship, the disgusting amount of sexual assaults in Chicago, Etta James losing her shit) what stands out the most is the slew of articles being written about how “fat” Jessica Simpson got. This is old news, I’m aware. This is also not gay news, but as a lady who thinks the bodies of real women are just fabulous—this Simpson thing is really pissing me off.
I can’t open a newspaper or check an entertainment news site without being inundated with images of Jessica Simpson’s “fall from grace,” or whatever the pathetic excuses for journalists are calling it. She stopped starving herself—how dare she! She needs to be living up to the standards of some gross man who was really banking on his 2009 Jessica Simpson bikini calendar—and doesn’t want to look at a “massive” Size 8.
Ugh, I’m sick of hearing and talking about it. In protest of these gross standards society continues to place upon women, I give you hot babes that are not a Size 2. Thank goddess.
