News that makes our queer hearts sing with joy: Thao Nguyen (of Thao With the Get Down Stay Down) and her gf, Mirah are releasing an album as Thao & Mirah, due out in April.
We’re psyched because the music, of course, will be amazing. But also, can you think of a more adorable lesbian musical duo - that are not twins?
Mirah is among this year’s Out 100! Here she is with Mickey Mouse Club’s Matt Morris. We’ve never been so jealous of a car before. Seriously.
Best news ever: Indie queer darling Mirah will finally give us a follow up to 2004’s C’Mon Miracle. Don’t get us wrong, we loved the remixes on Joyride, but new material has been in order for like five years.

So you think you can dance…to Mirah?
Mirah’s “Fruits of Your Garden” from her 2006 album Joyride:Remixes randomly reached No. 64 on SoundScan’s chart of digital tracks this week. The song, remixed by The Blow’s Khaela Maricich, sold about 22,000 units, when it only sold about a dozen last week. Strange, since Mirah just put out a new album, The Old Days Feeling, but it all makes sense since the song was featured on “So You Think You Can Dance.” Check it out:
